COUNTERING SPELL CASTERS
One of the most commonly known methods to disable a spell caster is to bind their hands and gag their mouth. A more brutal solution would be to chop off the caster’s hands and cut out his tongue. What is not commonly known is that powerful casters can overcome this (via feats such as Still Spell and Silent Spell).
What is not known by the common man is that shackles and collars made from cold iron work extremely well at inhibiting spell casting (even if the caster has the Still Spell or Silent Spell feat). Those who are bound in this way must make a successful concentration check to cast a spell. A failed check means the spell fails and is lost. Anyone with at least one (1) rank of Knowledge: Arcana is aware of these properties.
|Concentration = 1d20 + STAT MOD + CL||CHECK|
|Cast spells while wearing wearing cold iron shackles||25 + SL|
|Cast spells while wearing wearing cold iron collar||30 + SL|
|Cast spells while wearing wearing cold iron shackles and collar||35 + SL|
